Household Items for Residents Transitioning to Permanent Housing
Give our residents hope with a laundry basket filled with items such as a wastebasket, tissues, toilet paper, all-purpose cleaner, dishtowels, bath towels, a toilet brush, sponges, hand soap, laundry detergent, and dish soap. Opportunities to contribute are endless and the impact is tremendous.
Cell Phones
All cell phones with or without accessories are welcome. Phones in working condition can be used for 911 phones, while broken ones can be turned into cash for our programs through our partnership with Shelter Alliance.
Clothing
- New clothing is accepted anytime, especially casual clothing for both women and children. Children’s clothing donations at the start of the school year are greatly appreciated.
- Gently used clothing is accepted.
- Sleepwear, underwear and accessories are always needed (all items must be new). We accept all sizes of pajamas, robes, slippers, women’s underwear, bras, socks and flip flops.
Personal Care Products (all items must be new and full size)
Hair and body care products of every kind are greatly appreciated, including shampoo and conditioner for all hair types, bar soap, body wash, deodorant, cotton swabs, lotion, feminine hygiene products, brushes and combs, hair ties, nail clippers and razors.
Daily Shelter Needs
- Cleaning Supplies: Window cleaner, soft scrub, disinfectant spray and wipes, liquid floor cleaners, scouring pads, dish soap, bleach, kitchen towels, dish cloths, brooms and mops.
- Paper Products: Tissues, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, bowls and cups, plastic silverware, toilet paper and storage bags.
- Linens: Twin-sized sheet sets; waterproof, zippered, twin-sized mattress covers; twin-sized comforters and blankets; pillows; bath towels; washcloths and hand towels.
- Gift Cards: Local gas stations, food stores, office supply stores, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, phone cards and bus passes.
- Office Products: Laptops for residents returning to school, video cameras for bloggers, pocket folders, copy paper, printer ink cartridges, free printing, certificate paper, tape, staples and personal safes.
Other
Vehicle tires, vehicle service and repairs, autos in good working condition, real estate, mature stock and planned giving opportunities such as wills and trusts.
